In 2020, a group of private investors from New York and the Netherlands came on board at Mavim. The investors provided growth capital to accelerate the company’s development and, as part of the same transaction, bought out its founder, Micheil Arens.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, Mavim develops software built on the Microsoft technology stack that helps organizations map, understand, and improve how they work, bringing their processes, data, IT, and governance together in one dynamic model.
The investors brought more than capital. Through their networks in the United States and the Netherlands, they opened doors for Mavim and helped it build strategic partnerships, such as its partnership with Accenture, to support its international growth.
33Equity advised Mavim throughout the process, from finding investors who could add value beyond capital to bringing the transaction to completion.
The transaction laid the foundation for Mavim’s next phase of growth. In 2026, 33Equity again advised Mavim, this time on its strategic partnership with Lexar Partners.
